FAQ

Here is a list of common questions that our clients ask us. If you need more information don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.

What's the difference between a arborist and a landscaper?

The big difference is in training and certification. An arborist has completed years of study and has a deeper understanding of plant life whereas a landscaper has no formal arborist training. At Forest Glenn Arborists, we are fully certified arborists.

After a tree is removed, can I keep the wood?

For all tree removals, we give our customers the option of whether they would like us to haul the wood away or whether they would prefer to keep it. In many cases, a removed tree can be a good source of firewood.

Do I need a permit to remove a tree?

It depends on many factors, but there are many situations where having a certified arborist report is necessary to remove trees from your property. Our team can assist with the report as well as with the tree removal process.

Do I need to fertilize the trees on my property?

While some species of trees do not require fertilization, there are many that do. Deciduous hardwood trees, such as oak and elm, benefit greatly from annual fertilization, especially in urban settings where there is less natural leaf cover.

When should my trees be pruned?

The pruning and trimming process can differ widely depending on the various tree and plant species involved. Call us out for a consultation and we'll come up with the ideal pruning or trimming schedule based on your specific property.

Is Forest Glenn Arborists insured?

Our company is completely insured and every member of our team has all the relevant certifications for the work they perform. At your request, we would be happy to provide documents proving our professional licensing and our insured status.
